When Does A Dip Become A Slump – Spurs Lose Another One – Match Stats

|

Fresh from our midweek Champions League disappointment at the hands of Olympiakos, as they came back from a two goal deficit to take a point on Wednesday, Tottenham Hotspur fans were looking for the side to make it back to back Premier League victories as we made the trip to the King Power Stadium to face Leicester City.

It was a bright start from Spurs and we took the lead just ahead of the half hour mark in the match as a lively Harry Kane opened the scoring. We were unable to build on our advantage again though and the hosts made the most of their chances in the second half, and with 21 minutes remaining they were back on level terms, and then five minutes from the whistle, they took a 2-1 lead and that was where the scoring on the day ended.

The match statistics were mixed with possession and chances overall, and with six changes made from our last tie, fans will be debating whether that worked against us but both sides had goals ruled out by the Video Assistant Referee technology – but all that matters is it’s another defeat.
