What next for Les, Chris and Stefan?

A new manager usually brings major changes in in the coaching set up, so what is to become of the assistants and are they already regarded as Sherwood`s boys?

Chris Ramsey might be considered unfortunate to be cast aside by Spurs, after around ten years at the club. Highly rated as a coach for club and country, Chris, appeared to be both settled and doing a very respectable job in the development groups, so his rise to the first team picture may not ideally have been something he would have wanted. Question is, once in a higher position, can you return downstairs, especially when it didn`t exactly end perfectly.

I might be doing Les Ferdinand a disservice, but I have only ever really seen him as a cheerleader/confidant to Sherwood, therefore you have to imagine that his time will be up at WHL following Tim`s departure. Initially brought in under Harry redknapp as a part time Striking coach, his arrival coincided with all of our attacking players struggling to hit the net. Les seems like a good guy and I have no doubt he has a good rapport with the players, but I don`t see him fitting in with any potential new manager.

Stefan Freund, was brought in as No2 to AVB and you got the feeling that he and our former manager didn`t exactly see eye to eye, whilst Sherwood also wanted men he already had a working relationship with, therefore once again Freund was slightly pushed sideways for others. Was he wasted for much of the last two seasons, by managers who have now departed, therefore he can be retained under a new regime? I suppose that depends on who the new man is and whether he wants or is allowed to bring in his own men.

For me, I would be very happy for Chris to return to his former position in the development squad, but could be be tempted to join Sherwood on his next managerial adventure? After ten years at WHL, will he feel this is a good time to move on? Les for me will definitely leave and I note with interest that he is on Sky Sports this Sunday with Tim, so does that actually indicate he has already gone? Everyone loves Freund, a man that seems to love the club as much as we do. However is that enough and we know that Mr Levy isn`t a man for sentiment…
