Spurs Word On The Tweet

‘Wet myself with excitement’: Lots of Tottenham fans were gushing over ‘Levy doing a madness’

Tottenham Hotspur are believed to be closing in on the signing of Real Madrid’s Dani Ceballos this summer and the news has sent fans crazy with excitement on Twitter.

AS (via Sport Witness) are claiming Spurs and Los Blancos are thought to have reached an agreement about a season-long loan deal for the midfielder as the Spanish giants continue to decide about his long-term future with them.

One minute he is thought to be available for a permanent sale (AS), however, it would appear the La Liga giants changed their mind about letting him go altogether (AS) – although that may not be so surprising after the Under-21 European Championships he had.

According to the data collected by WhoScored, Ceballos was outstanding for Spain as he managed an average of 3 shots per game, 2.8 key passes, 3.8 completed dribbles, 2 tackles and 1 interception which would benefit us in a new-look midfield following Tanguy Ndombele’s arrival (club’s official website).

We have written on Vital Spurs that the Spanish midfielder would be an excellent addition for us and to sign him on loan would be an exceptional piece of business this summer as we would be able to spend money elsewhere and potentially save a large chunk for next season if we decide to want to purchase him next year.

And, it seems fans on Twitter have been sent into overdrive regarding a possible deal for Ceballos this summer.

With Ndombele and Jack Clarke’s arrival, seeing the club bring in players is something that we have not seen in 18 months and many were amazed that we could be on the verge of a third already.

Some could not believe what was happening and ‘can’t handle all this’, whilst others were quick to praise Daniel Levy for the business he had been conducting recently.

Here are just some of those reactions…
