West Ham Man Amps Up Delusions Ahead Of Spurs Clash But Much Like Their Ambitions He’s Half A League Away

|

With the October international break in full flow, eyes probably haven’t turned yet to our trip to the London Stadium to play the Appy Ammers but the West Ham v Tottenham Hotspur clash is only ten days away (I wrote it last night but forgot to put on timered before anyone picks that out!).

Ten will feature a few times in this as with Spurs sat pretty in fifth place in the Premier League table with 18 points from six wins out of eight, West Ham are languishing ten places away down in 15th spot on seven points with only two wins from their opening eight.

18 – 7 isn’t 10, it’s 11 but close enough for these purposes.

Anyway, Mark Noble told Sky Sports that he felt both sides had had a similar start to each other this year.

“It’s a massive game at home for us, Spurs always are. They’re a fantastic team with great players, they’ve had a similar start to us really, bit up and down, but what a great team they are and we look forward to that.”

Two wins in eight is not ‘up’, six wins in eight is not ‘down’.

History under manager Mauricio Pochettino may be on their side, but that’s an entirely different argument.
