Tottenham fans and Christian Eriksen haven’t had the same relationship this season to what they’ve had over the last five. However, the Dane helped his side draw 1-1 with the Republic of Ireland last night, securing his place at Euro 2020, and the Lilywhites have been quick to congratulate their man.

There were a few fans in the comments who showed their lack of class, belittling their club’s tweet and slandering their own player – despite his achievement – because of his ongoing contract situation at the club and the fact that he won’t be a Tottenham player next season.
However, a lot of the fans have been congratulating Eriksen for his achievement, and rightly so. The midfielder has done an awful lot for Spurs since he joined the club and one lacklustre season towards the end of his time in north London shouldn’t undermine everything he’s done to date.
Should Eriksen be starting for Spurs?

The Lilywhites may not be the biggest fans of Eriksen at the moment, but they’ve still got the class to congratulate the Dane on his international achievement.
