Tottenham didn’t sign anyone over the summer, so you’d expect Daniel Levy to dig into his pockets in January. It hasn’t been a great few weeks, but a few new faces could make all the difference.
Talk regarding future moves has already started, too, with the Daily Star reporting earlier this week that Tottenham are interested in Man Utd man Eric Bailly.
Bailly hasn’t enjoyed the best year or two at Old Trafford, and he’s currently in and out of Jose Mourinho’s first team. He’s clearly a great player, but under Mourinho, he just hasn’t been a very good fit.
That said, there have been a few players that just haven’t worked out under Jose, and so it’s hard to see it as a Bailly problem. Not to mention, if anyone can improve him, it’ll be Mauricio Pochettino.
Man Utd fans online have been talking about the Spurs link, and somewhat surprisingly, they’re happy to see him leave. They don’t seem too bothered that Man Utd may sell to a rival, with many fans unconvinced by his talents.
Take a look at what they’ve had to say below…
he has been terrible he can hit the exit eti @JMaliKay_27

Walking disaster. No sense of defending, no awareness, never know who's to mark before cross coming, cannot make tackle without throwing himself into the ground, temperamental and clumsy defender all round. Should never have signed to begin with.

Will happily do a swap for someone. I can see more swap deals now that transfer fees have gotten so crazy.
