The club are keeping tabs on Everton youngster Ademola Lookman, according to reports.
Playing on loan at RB Leipzig in the second half of last season, the 20-year-old made a good impression, and it is believed the Bundesliga club would like to sign him on a permanent basis as well.
Fans on Twitter were pretty divided about recruiting the forward:
He is a very special footballer and a massive talent. With Poch's treatment he could be a worldie. Trust me

I think we are linked to everyone

At this point the number of players “targeted” as claimed by press is greater than the available slots on the team.

We were linked before he went there and can’t help but feel he’d end up being a solid signing. Still hope we aim for something bigger as well.

Verdict:
We have been linked with so many players this summer already that it’s hard to know who we are genuinely interested in. Lookman is certainly a promising young talent but Everton spent £9m on the player just 18 months ago, and it would probably take a large sum to sign him.
Personally, I think we have more pressing concerns in improving areas of the first team squad. I also think that we should be looking towards the promising players in our own academy before looking further afield and signing prospects from other clubs unless they are truly exceptional talents.
