With RB Leipzig and Barcelona left in the pot when Tottenham were drawn out, it seemed like the north London side were going to be handed the hardest tie of all against Lionel Messi’s La Liga side, but the footballing Gods were looking down on Spurs as Jose Mourinho’s men were drawn with the current Bundesliga table toppers.

With Tottenham missing out on some massive names in the competitions like the aforementioned Barcelona as well as the likes of Real Madrid and Juventus, supporters on social media were buzzing to see the club awarded a tie that on paper looks like a fairly routine win for Mourinho’s side.
