United Reportedly Back In For Spurs Star But Are Looking For A Cut Price £50m Deal

|

One of the many summer transfer rumour mill saga’s at Tottenham Hotspur has been the future of Danish international midfielder Christian Eriksen, and it appears it’s Manchester United’s turn to come back to the forefront of the speculation.

A recent report in The Telegraph again linked the 27-year-old with a potential move to Old Trafford and the report suggests that there is a belief in Manchester that we’d be willing to do a deal to simply avoid losing him for free next summer.

It naturally leans on the fact we’d rather sell him abroad and not strengthen a fellow Premier League club, but with such little time left in the transfer window now before the deadline shuts, our options are obviously limited.

The report itself doesn’t offer up any really fresh information but a different claim from the Daily Mail suggests United feel that we’ll have to cut the fee to £50million or lower in January if a deal can’t be done now, so will be banking on us doubting that European suitors are waiting until our window closes before coming in for him.

With some fans questioning his performances during pre-season, it could well be an interesting couple of days.
