UEFA Champions League Group Stages Draw

The 2017/18 Champions League draw takes place in Monaco, tomorrow, Thursday 24 August at 5pm BST.

Could it be six?

Liverpool, who are 2-1 up from the UCL Qualifying Play-Off First Leg take on 1899 Hoffenheim at Anfield this evening. Having said that and with the turmoil within the Scousers dressing room could they surprise many of us and manage to hold on to their slender lead?

Celtic, who qualified last night could be joined by the Dippers and represent the UK with a total of six clubs. Is this a record?

Group games

The group stage games are split into six matchdays:

12-13 September: matchday one
26-27 September: matchday two
17-18 October: matchday three
31 October-1 November: matchday four
21-22 November: matchday five
5-6 December: matchday six

We know Tottenham cannot be put into the same pot as Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea or possibly Liverpool but, the English teams could end up in the same group as Celtic, similar to Manchester City last season.

Our last campaign didn’t exactly go according to plan however, I’m confident Poch will have learned from the experience.

Will this be OUR year?
