We have been sending the scouts in the past few weeks to run the rule over two Lazio players, according to the Mirror journalist Neil Moxley.

Ciro Immobile and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic are reportedly on the club’s radar, and we are said to be lining up bids for the pair, who together are worth in excess of £100m.

It is believed that we will have to finance the signings by selling a number of other players. Like the Daily Mail, the Mirror are now also reporting that we could offload Mousa Dembele, Victor Wanyama, Toby Alderweireld and Danny Rose.

However, they also throw another name into the mix with Moussa Sissoko being tipped to leave in the summer.

With both the Mail and the Mirror not being very reliable sources, to say the least, it is difficult to know how genuine these reports actually are. It’s looking more like a game of Football Manager than anything else at the moment.

  • Why do we have to sell to buy, what with improved gate receipts, CL and EPL prize money etc.etc. we must have £150M available without selling to buy.

  • Frank, this is what all top clubs do… Real Madrid sold Ozil to gooners to raise £42m after they bought Bale at £86m from us…
