The goalkeeping situation has been one that has come in for a lot of scrutiny this season. Up until Hugo Lloris suffered his elbow injury he’d made a number of high-profile blunders, and whilst Paulo Gazzaniga mostly performed well, his mistake against Chelsea was a comical one.
With that being said, the Lilywhites are now being linked with a move for a very young and promising goalkeeper in the form of Fenerbahce’s 21-year-old starlet Altay Bayindir (Turkish Football), although they’ll have to beat their top-four battling rivals Sheffield United to snag him this summer.
The Turkish shot-stopper is a serious talent by all accounts, and it’s been claimed that Spurs could be set to part with a fee of around £12.5m, Fenerbahce’s valuation, of the gloveman if they are to bring him in, and the Lilywhites links with the club’s former sporting director Damiel Comolli seem to have kickstarted this move.

This would certainly be a move that would see the Lilywhites sign one for the future, but the young goalkeeper looks like a talented player and if he could well be the heir to Lloris’ throne as Spurs’ first choice ‘keeper.
