  • The way the TW has gone so far i’m as excited as someone who is not very excitable. In other words I can’t see us signing anyone.

  • Another 5th choice CB and maybe a crocked midfielder. Another joke of a window where we have probably weakened our team. How many bids have we turned down for sissoko now!! That alone shows we have nobody even close on signing. Just lost all faith tbh

  • Pathetic. We lack squad depth and look at the difference between ins and outs. Once again Levy has let the fans down. Happy to charge over the odds for tickets but not happy to invest in the team. Poch will leave next summer, that is a guarantee

  • No doubt we will, we sign more than one player each year and are still heading in the right direction. The team comes first as always, even more so with the big competitions we qualifying for more and more regularly. This year is no exception regardless of the move, and I think the club has been pretty transparent with the plans for the TW. We have already smashed our transfer record, and still have a few days to go to wrap up the deals that Pochettino and co need to push the team in the right places. One Negative ? I prefer getting key players in early so they can spend more time with the team, I like the calm approach but bring a few faces in a little earlier? and we can still keep the eyes open up until 10.59 on Thursday night. A Positive – We kept the core of our players, the ones who matter and no one can get close. How refreshing, the gooners are having a mare this time around mainly due to the Wenger out party finding their swing. Exciting few days ahead, could be the last year we have signings being made after the season starts! Will we miss that, not sure COYS.

  • Waiting patiently for Aurier confirmation now, appaently several clubs wanted him but he chose us because of Poch and yes Levy.

Also apparently we have put a bid in for Gray from Leciester, that would be decent shot, although Marezh would have been better forimmediate impact Gray for me has great potential and good for future and likely to mould better than marezh

  • If we pull off Aurier and Foryth, along with Sanchez who us with us then that is pretty much impressive in terms of defensive players, because all three were wanted by other top clubs, and the money paid for Aurier is a bargain in this market if he behaves humself and adapts to the PL. No one can deny Levy hasn’t pulled of potentially three decnt players, two for now and one for the future (Foryth). Foryth coming would also help Lamela who to me always seems he needs a friend, a country man to confide in, its so haard describing how you feel when your struggling to foreigners with language and cultural differences and players don’t always want to confide in the manager, personal stuff and non players cannot always understand like family and non footballing friends, so Foryth may actually help lamela! I would also be happy with Gray, are we drooping our interest in Barkley and going for Gray instead?

  • I have always admired Gray. Missed a trick when he was at B’ham. A future England regular imo.

  • Critical – would you be happy with our window if we add Gray, Aurier and Foryth or do you think we need more

  • What about Dembele of Celtic apparently they want 40m euros is that worth a shot, I mean 40m isn’t huge in this inflated market for a long term striker who would probably do better than Janssen, and if we got him and sold Janssen for 20m we would be doing very well – not sure Celtic would sell though and whether he would come knowing its a struggle to play with kane being number 1

  • it’sME, I think even with those signings I’d be underwhelmed. Purely and simply we don’t still have adequate cover/competition for Kane, Alli and Eriksen. Initially I was concerned about too many defenders being targeted, but now see that as a change of back line approach where the potential recruits could be more dynamic that may move us away from backwards/sideways possession. When watching the Burnley game at the stadium, I remember telling my partner, each time either Toby or Jan got the ball, I said watch it being passed back to the other and sure enough it happened repeatedly. I know sometime we need to switch attack from one side to the other, but it appeared to have been done for the sake of possession and no one finding an outlet to the midfield. Dier IMO was totally wasted as we didn’t need a holding midfielder v an opp that came to defend and nick a point. I just want the team dynamics changed so the we can get out of our own half quicker.

  • Re. Dembele…another trick missed when he was at Fulham, all because we didn’t want him loaned back. Now imo, unaffordable.

  • There are reports in Belgium about Origi wanting to join. He would tick a lot of boxes for me, but I doubt Liverpool would sell to us.

  • I think we are going backwards. Aurier, Foyth and Sanchez potentially good signing and needed. But Levy is all about saving money and he is the best at it. We just have not achieved anything on the pitch and when we get close, Levy holds us back. Business wise our club are getting closer to Liverpool and Arsenal in terms of club growth. You can’t knock him for that. But I think Levy could have really pushed the boat out this and last window, which in turn could have possibly seen us build a little dynasty. This in turn would have seen much faster growth as a club. We have really lacked options in attack despite the superior stats we have had of the rest of the league over the last two seasons. The rest are catching/caught up with us. What would we do without Ali Erikson or Kane? We have very little options other than Son. Who knows when/if Lamela will play next who was hit and miss when he played anyway. This a fecking joke!

  • I am amazed at some of the deals going on. 35m for Ox-Chamberlain? Am I the only person who thinks he is over rated? Renato Sanches to Swansea on a loan, we should have been in for him on a loan deal, no risk to Levy, how did he miss that one? Some of the rumours range from funny to ridiculous. Twitter is entertainment central at the moment, The BS ITK merchants are out in force. THe best non ITK I have seen is about a Welsh boy call Gareth!!!

  • Renato Sanches on loan to Swansea is almost as bizarre as the Mascharano and Tevez to West Ham deals.

  • You can’t always get what you want. Sancho to Swansea is a plauer wanting to work under Swanseas manager as he has worked with him before. managers, coaches do attract [layers to clubs that seem unlikely to us fans.

I think if we get Aurier and he behaves then we have pretty much done alright in terms of defence, but still lack those backups in offensive play. We have uncertainty over Lamela and Sissoko is still too far behind and Son is playing catchup with fitness and confidencd issues after breaking his arm. GK injured and hasn’t done much and Janssen imo looks shot, just like Soldado did. His comments of late are not encouraging and being overlooked against Burnley for last five minutes when we needed a goal says it all. So I really do think we need a striker and another offensive player.

Can we get a better striker willing to compete with Kane, not sure. Will Barkley come, not sure, but if Ox goes for 35-40m 11 months left on his contract you can bet Everton will be pushing for at least 30-35m for Barkley, that doesn’t bode well unless Poch really believes he can get the best out of Barkley and he is likely to be with us for a few years, then in the current market, one year left or not, 30-35m will probably be worth a shot especially when you think we paid 30m for a older Sissoko, although I really do think the payment terms was the deciding factor on that one.
