The club are apparently weighing up an offer for West Brom`s Jonny Evans in the summer, according to the Daily Telegraph journalist Matt Law.

Pochettino is apparently looking for an experienced centre back if Toby departs at the end of the season, but he doesn`t want the new recruit to get in the way of either Sanchez or Foyth.

With the Baggies likely to be relegated, their captain will be available for just £3m. We will not be the only interested party with both Arsenal and former club Manchester United also likely to have a say in matters.

The Northern Irish international is left footed, and would therefore likely be cover for Jan Vertonghen, leaving our young centre halves to compete for the other centre back spot in the starting eleven.

Poch is a big fan of Foyth`s, and it`s not surprising that he is keen to push his fellow countryman up the pecking order if Alderweireld is sold. A move for an experienced defender for cover would be the wise move, but is Evans the right choice?
