Tottenham …. Unbelievable! An Ever So Slightly Tongue In Cheek Look At THFC

|

I can’t believe Spurs are not ten points in front of everyone else on the table after playing twenty-eight games. I can’t believe we did not win the title last season or any of the seasons before that. How is that possible? As for the Cups …. we should have so many Cups that supporters should be drinking a foamy beverage out of them at half-time.

Just look at the players we’ve got. Is there any club in the PL that can compare with our squad? Or, come to that, any club in the world. Of course there’s not.

It’s simple. Spurs should win every game they play or the club should dispense with the services of the players and the manager and bring in people who will provide all the Cups and Titles that our long-suffering supporters demand. It’s gone beyond a joke.

There is something fundamentally wrong with the club if it loses games. Let’s be honest, there are only two teams in a football match. That’s not many. It’s only just one more than one. So if Spurs can’t manage to beat one team at a time I don’t see the point of bothering.

We were almost a fair team in the sixties …. until we started losing to the other team in the game. And now it keeps happening. Doesn’t anybody learn from history?

The fault obviously lies at the feet of the Chairman. Why would he choose to hire an unproven, no-hoper, in the first place. It was always going to be downhill from there. How he’s stayed here for so long defies logic. What has he achieved? Nothing.

You’d have to think that THFC does not want to attract new supporters, or keep the ones they’ve got. Why else would they lose games and fail to win every competition on offer? Nobody likes a loser. And it’s bad for the morale of supporters. It’s a verifiable fact that any supporter born within the last week has never seen Tottenham win.

Time and time again I advise the club what they should be doing. Do they listen? No. The manager is so arrogant that he thinks he knows best. All it requires is to win every game 3-0. That’s only one goal every thirty minutes. It’s not as if that is too much to ask for. Just put the ball in the net and stop playing ‘keepie-off’ in midfield. How hard can it be? What is there to stop it?

What on earth is the point of playing good football if you don’t win anything? Who cares how pretty the football looks? I’m sure any Kane-fearing Tottenham supporter will agree with me that it’s simply not good enough!

Why would any decent, caring, Chairperson, put the long-term vision of the club’s future before the instant gratification of the supporters. As Michael Corleone said, ‘It’s not business, it’s personal’ … or something like that.

No wonder Spurs supporters are all full of pessimism and anger …. and leaving the club in droves. Trying to find one Spurs supporter with the slightest degree of optimism is like trying to find Wally in the stands at United.

If THFC refuses to rectify the situation I’ll just have to do it myself. As soon as my City season-ticket arrives I’m out of here. At least City never lose.

Tottenham …. Unbelievable!
