Tottenham Star’s Future Uncertain After Prospective £50m Move Collapses

|

Manchester United have pulled out of a move to sign Danny Rose, according to the Mirror journalist John Cross.

Jose Mourinho has reportedly told the club’s chief executive Ed Woodward that he is satisfied with his options at left-back after signing teenager Diego Dalot from Porto.

United now have Luke Shaw, Ashley Young, Dalot and Marcos Rojo who can play on the left-hand side of defence and the decision has been taken to prioritise signings in other areas.

The Mirror reports that our no.3 may now seek a move abroad as he faces being second choice behind Ben Davies next season.

However, from my point of view, if the fullback has a good World Cup and demonstrates his long-term fitness, he could still have a future with us and displace the Welshman in the first team.

At the top of his game, the England international is still the better of our two options, and perhaps he can still convince Mauricio Pochettino of his desire to stay and regain his place.
