Manchester United have pulled out of a move to sign Danny Rose, according to the Mirror journalist John Cross.

Jose Mourinho has reportedly told the club’s chief executive Ed Woodward that he is satisfied with his options at left-back after signing teenager Diego Dalot from Porto.

United now have Luke Shaw, Ashley Young, Dalot and Marcos Rojo who can play on the left-hand side of defence and the decision has been taken to prioritise signings in other areas.

The Mirror reports that our no.3 may now seek a move abroad as he faces being second choice behind Ben Davies next season.

However, from my point of view, if the fullback has a good World Cup and demonstrates his long-term fitness, he could still have a future with us and displace the Welshman in the first team.

At the top of his game, the England international is still the better of our two options, and perhaps he can still convince Mauricio Pochettino of his desire to stay and regain his place.

  • Comment. Am beginning to wonder if Jose is really the right man for Man U . May be we need to replace him. There is no direction at the club now.Total confusion

  • Ola, Zambian. Total confusion is just what Total knobhead wants at Manure. No way José and his confusion band are no direction home. like a rolling stone. not home grown. make that bitch groan. what does your comment have to do with this site, by the way?

  • Rose wants to be paid a lot more money. United could have given him that, no foreign club is going to unless the Spanish giants were interested, which they aren’t. If United are no longer interested he’s left looking foolish with nowhere to go.
