Tottenham Said To Be Lining Up £25m Raid For Rose Replacement

|

The Daily Express are reporting that we are lining up a bid for Southampton left-back Ryan Bertrand.

This story comes from Tony Banks who wrote an “exclusive” on Christian Eriksen being sold to Paris Saint-Germain for £100m, so be warned.

The tabloid believes that the Saints value the 28-year-old at £25million and that he is also interesting three other teams in Manchester United, Newcastle and newly promoted Wolves.

Bertrand signed on an initial loan deal at the South Coast club a couple of months after Mauricio Pochettino left, and he has impressed during his four-year stay.

With Danny Rose being tipped to depart the club in the summer, it’s likely the club are seeking a replacement to offer Ben Davies competition, but it remains to be seen if the Southampton full-back is a genuine target for the club.

At present, our n0.3 continues to suffer from injury problems, and it’s likely that this could affect any plans to offload him at the end of the season.
