Tottenham Reportedly Vying With Two Teams To Sign Moroccan Assist King

|

We are tracking Ajax playmaker Hakim Ziyech, according to Calciomercato.com.

The Italian website reports that we are one of three Premier League teams that are interested in the Moroccan international. Liverpool and West Ham are also said to be keen on the 25-year-old.

The midfielder has been in excellent form in the Eredivisie this season having scored nine goals and provided 17 assists in just 34 appearances.

He moved to Ajax in 2016 from FC Twente, and during his first season at the Dutch club, he was just as consistent, scoring 12 and making 20 assists.

Whether he could replicate that sort of creativity in the Premier League, it’s difficult to say. The last playmaker we signed from the Eredivisie side was a certain Dane so it could be worth the gamble.

He generally does play in a similar position to our no.23 though, although he can also play on the left-hand side as well. The Moroccan would likely come in as a squad player if he were to be signed.
