The club are prepared to meet the asking price of Borussia Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic, according to Calcio Insider.
The website reports that sources close to the player have told them that we are preparing to make a bid for the American international. However, we will face competition from a number of other clubs who are all chasing the 19-year old’s signature.
Pulisic signed a new three and half year contract at Dortmund in January last year and has gone on to become a regular first-team player, despite only being a teenager.
This season, the American made 42 appearances in all competitions, scoring five goals and providing seven assists. The Mirror rate the winger at £40m, but with the player in high demand, his club will probably demand a fee much higher than that.
Calcio Insider is hardly a well-regarded source so it’s definitely wise to treat this news with a good amount of scepticism. Still, it is fair to say, the club will look to strengthen in attacking areas in the summer and Pulisic is a very promising young talent.
