Spurs Word On The Tweet

“Sign him up”, “Better than Serge” – Loads of Spurs fans drool over “perfect” £18m target

Tottenham Hotspur fans have been discussing one of their reported transfer targets this weekend.

The north Londoners have been linked with a move for Atalanta right-back Timothy Castagne by the Times and the Belgian international has made an interesting admission, thus sparking a reaction from the Spurs faithful.

In an interview with La Derniere Heure, Castagne said: “I think the time has come to move on, but I won’t be disappointed if I stay. I’m very proud of this. It’s proof that hard work pays off. I hope it’s more than just simple interest from them. You have to be honest with yourself. When a team like PSG or Tottenham come knocking on your door, you can’t say no.”

100%

No!

The 24-year-old has featured 21 times for the Serie A outfit across the Italian top-flight and the Champions League where he has averaged 1 tackle, 1 key pass and 0.8 fouls per game, via WhoScored.

His comments have led to some supporters demanding that Daniel Levy signs him up whilst others have talked him up to be a decent addition to Jose Mourinho’s squad.

As per Calciomercato, the defender could cost Spurs just €20m (£18m) but they’ll face stiff competition from the likes of Inter Milan, Leicester City and PSG.
