Spurs Word On The Tweet

“Incredible” – Loads of Spurs fans swoon over “monster” who’s “twice the player Lo Celso is”

|

Tottenham Hotspur edged closer to European qualification on Sunday afternoon as Jose Mourinho’s side thrashed Leicester City 3-0 in north London – and many supporters watching at home loved the performance from Harry Winks.

Heung-min Son opened the scoring early in the first half and they never looked back, Harry Kane quickly netting a brace before half-time and that was to be that with the Foxes struggling to find a way back into the match.

Much of the Spurs faithful were left drooling over the display from Winks in the centre of the park, claiming that he’s “dynamite” and “absolutely incredible”.

Who will have the BIGGER 2020/21 season?

Harry Winks

Tanguy Ndombele

Other phrases used to describe the 24-year-old included “baller” and “monster.”

Per SofaScore, Winks managed one key pass, one successful dribble and also notched a passing accuracy of 73%.

The £28.8m-rated England international was even likened to Claude Makelele, who Mourinho managed at Chelsea over a decade ago, as well as a “prime Pogba.

High praise indeed.

Really? I thought his first name was “Misplaced pass from” the number of times the commentator said “Misplaced pass from Winks”.

Not digging him out for effort, but he is not good enough, neither is Sissoko, that midfield needs a complete overhaul.

Only 73% pass accuracy? A montage of Winks passing briskly to the opposition would take a while to watch. Lots of good things but far too many unforced errors…

Winksy is always ‘easy on the untrained eye’.
However apart from one good forward pass in 90 mins, (more than usual).
    he is Jenus .mk 2.
No other decent top flight player goes (stat cheating) sideways as often.
We need to score goals to win, and forwards make 10 Exhausting runs to (NOT) get a pass !!.
he never passes to feet of Kane ever.
    West Ham player. (sorry).

  • Ricky says:

What a coincidence that the central defence looks so much better when Winks is in the team, very strange. I’m sure it must just be one of those quirks, nothing to do Winks!
