We are one of four teams keen on signing Marseille midfielder Morgan Sanson, according to France Football.
The French magazine reports that Arsenal, Chelsea and Sevilla are also interested in the 23-year-old, but we are said to be in pole position to snap him up.
Sanson had a very good season for his club, hitting 12 goals and contributing three assists in all competitions.
Whether Marseille would be prepared to let him go, it is not known. The French side only signed him from Montpellier eighteen months ago for €9m.
He is yet to be capped at senior level by France, although he does have ten Under 21 appearances to his name.
Sanson can play in a number of different roles. This campaign, he has played as a number 10, in central midfield, as a holding midfielder, as well as on the flanks.
Last year, he played mostly as a central midfield playmaker, providing 14 assists in the 2016/17 season but last campaign, he played in a more advanced role and scored more goals as a consequence.
