Tottenham identify £40m-rated star as potential man to improve midfield – report

Tottenham could make a move for Milan talisman Suso, report talkSPORT via Tuttomercato.

The former Liverpool man reportedly has a £33million release clause in his contract, which has opened up interest from clubs such as Arsenal and Atletico Madrid.

Suso has fulfilled much of the potential he promised as a Liverpool youngster and has had a hand in 19 goals for Milan this season. According to transfermarket.com, he is rated at more than £40m, so he would be a real steal if we can get him for less than that.

At 25, he still has his best years ahead of him, and due to his flexible style of play he would suit a number of different roles -behind the striker or on either flank. This type of roaming midfielder would complement the likes of Alli and Eriksen, and his superb left foot would bring an added dimension to the Spurs attack.

He is a talented set-piece taker, too, and with Trippier and Eriksen both linked with moves away, we could be in need of such a player.

One of Suso’s negatives, though, is his lack of pace, which can often be integral at times in the Premier League, particularly for a winger. However,a he makes up for it with his technique and sharp thinking, and he is often able to get away from defenders before playing in a killer pass to his teammates, which makes him the type of player Kane would thrive off.
