Tottenham eye €20 million striking colossus in battle with London rivals – Report

|

According to an exclusive report from French outlet le10sport, Tottenham face a battle with London rivals Chelsea and West Ham to sign Amiens striker Serhou Guirassy – with the 6ft 2 colossus allegedly ‘turning the heads‘ of all three clubs.

Guirassy, who has scored nine Ligue 1 goals this season in 23 starts for Amiens, debatably one of the sole shining lights during an underwhelming season for the club, is now attracting Premier League interest as Spurs gear up for a potential transfer battle with their London counterparts.

The current pandemic has forced French football to call the current season off and declare results, with Amiens relegated to the second tier having been in the drop zone before the league’s postponement.

Should Spurs battle West Ham and Chelsea for Guirassy?

Yes, capable back-up option

No, appears bang average

As the club ‘demand justice‘ for being demoted, Amiens could face another blow as we attempt to poach their €20 million (£17.3 million) hitman – but le10sport claim that Spurs aren’t exactly leading the race for his signature.

Indeed, according to this report, London rivals West Ham are ‘hot‘ on his tail and could be ahead of us in the queue – especially since Spurs ‘have not moved‘ unlike the Hammers.

Jose Mourinho’s side have allegedly been ‘inquiring‘ over the 24-year-old as a theoretical back-up option to star striker Harry Kane but are yet to properly make a move despite being in the running.

Chelsea have also been monitoring Guirassy’s situation at Amiens, with Spurs now facing a battle to sign the player given the amount of rival interest.

Whether or not we do opt to fully go for the striker is up for debate, but judging by this report, it doesn’t look like a swoop will be made easy.
