Tottenham And Monaco Keeping Tabs On Serie A’s Top Goalscorer

|

The club are keeping a close eye on Lazio striker Ciro Immobile, according to SportItalia (via TMW).

The Italian TV station say that both us and Monaco have tasked scouts with drawing up reports on the 28-year-old.

He was top goalscorer in Serie A last this season with 29 goals, and he hit the back of the net 41 times in all competitions.

This is not the first time we have been linked with the forward. Back in April, the Mirror reported that we were tracking both the Italian international and his teammate Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

A double deal of £100m was suggested, although speculation has since died down. We will likely have to wait until Mauricio Pochettino’s talks with Daniel Levy are concluded before we see any movement in the transfer market.

Even then, I can’t see us shelling out such a sizeable sum on these two, especially with other areas of the squad are in need of improvement. Sky Sports reports we are looking to sign a new central midfielder, left-back, centre-back and forward this summer.
