There were plenty of gripes from Tottenham Hotspur fans after Sunday’s Premier League loss to Watford and manager Mauricio Pochettino was really disguising his words and disappointment at the fulltime whistle as he spoke to the media either.
In games like that undoubtedly those with more of a flair approach to football and less of a record for digging in and doing the ugly stuff are often picked out for criticism post game, and Christian Eriksen certainly ticked that box for a number of fans on social media.

Maybe if Eriksen managed to pass the ball accurately and decisively, we’d have had a bit more impetus going forward. Not just his fault by any means, but he was poor.

It was a poor showing by plenty as our 100% record this season went out the window, and Eriksen was far from alone in taking criticism as following the defeat the early calls for Paulo Gazzaniga to get a shot between the sticks only intensified after Michel Vorm conceded the two goals.
With Liverpool up next after the international break, the above fans at least think it’s time for Eriksen to skip this one so we can add a bit more steel into the side as we look to get back to winning ways.
