Time For Spurs To Dortmund Borussia – Match Thread

Tottenham Hotspur take a short break from Premier League action this midweek as Wednesday evening sees us welcome Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund to Wembley Stadium for our Champions League Round of 16 first leg clash.

Spurs keep on keeping on this season, whatever hiccups and injuries throw at us and manager Mauricio Pochettino has suitably been able to steer us through the loss of Harry Kane in particular in recent weeks and we keep on picking up the points to keep pressure on the top two in our top flight, and whilst undoubtedly he’d like to see us take a commanding advantage on home soil in this tie, a result that gets us closer to Kane’s return date and the second leg, with the match still alive, is a worthy second aim.

With some talk, mainly hope I suspect, that our England man could be back for the tie against Burnley, we simply need to keep this one alive – more than that will be a bonus (and we are capable of doing just that), given the rotation we can probably expect and how Poch works.
