I know we`re all expecting Sonny to take up the reins from Harry this weekend but we shouldn`t overlook some of our other players against Swansea.
Indeed, this season has proved most of all that we`re not all about one man as so many would like to tell us from afar and so, with Kane out, we should only show that we`re a team full of quality instead of relying on someone else to be the sole star.
Son, then, will be important but so will Dele or Erik if he plays whilst this weekend looks good for Christian Eriksen if you`re into your omens.
The Dane has been on fire this season and, against the Swans, he is on another level. He could be a joy to watch in the clash with the Welsh side, then, and so let`s take a look at the response on Twitter to some impressive numbers.

Chris has to play saturday, we need our top players on the pitch not on the bench and no excuses for resting Lloris. #COYS #FACup pic.twitter.com/WbGf9SfVkN

Well let’s see the team selection – I was one for giving him a rest along with Dele Alli and playing similar midfield/forward line as against Rochdale. I guess if we go strong as possible it shows our intent to win this and no excuses at the end of the day. It is a Prem team we’re facing and I doubt national team’s will do us any favour’s in terms of resting our players so maybe given all this might aswell go as strong as possible – can’t wait, looking forward to watching it.
We can win this and the cup, I hope we are up for it. Coys
of course we should expect a good match from CE. Why is this a question? moTM? Worm, who will be brought on as an emergency striker after the dodgy lasanga hits our attacking players.
I have no idea which starting eleven MP will select. But I do know that whoever they are, they will be good enough to blow the Swans out of the sea! If that doesn’t happen, it won’t be PM’s fault; that blame will be laid at the door of the players.
Weather Forecast for Swansea today: Very cold and very windy.
Perhaps it won’t be very conducive to particularly attractive football from either team. Well, we will just have to wait and see.
I’ve just read a post on the VS forum from a supporter that says if Poch doesn’t play the “1st team” today, he can leave. I presume this to mean that he should leave Spurs. I’ve read similar stuff on VS and elsewhere… My answer to that? What if we win?
I mention this because a) what is the 1st team exactly and b) would it really be fair to judge the man on just one match, anyway?
We could of course win or lose, whatever the line-up is
The ‘1st team’ will be the team that starts the match, simple. And personally, I have no idea who should play.
Aurier or Trippier? Davies or Rose? Lloris or Vorm? Wanyama or Dier? Sissoko or Dembele? Lamela and/or Son or Lucas or Dele or Eriksen or, even Llorente?
Whoever plays, I’ll be happy to see MP on the bench, with his usual crew. And, win or lose, I don’t want him or his coaches going anywhere soon.
Up the Swanee River and all the way to victory!
Up the Spurs!
Is this the Cup day thread?!
I guess they’ll just have to ‘run around a bit’ to keep warm.
It’s a very comfortable 8:15pm KO in Australia. Nice!
For me, today? It’ll be breakfast, (half English/half Irish), build a snowman, lunch, Whiskey in a hot, hot Hotspur toddy, Guinness, FA Cup Quarter Final football. But, not necessarily in that order.
It’s good to have a plan. 🙂
Trouble is Geof, whatever the score at half-time, I have no Plan B. I suppose I’ll just have to make it up as I go along…
Well, it works for MP! I’m probably going to be more upset if this goes pear-shaped than I was for the Juve game.
Here is the winning team: #THFC: Vorm, Trippier, Sanchez, Vertonghen (C), Davies, Dier, Sissoko, Lamela, Eriksen, Lucas, Son. #COYS
Toby on the bench along with; Hugo Aurier Foyth Dembele Dele Llorente.
WOW, interesting team. That’s a pretty fast midfield, hope the cameras can keep up with them or we’ll miss all 3 goals.
I doubt many of us would’ve predicted that exact same line-up… Should MP stay or should he go? Before kick-off or, should we wait and see?
Can’t wait to see Son up front properly and Moura in midfield again. Strong team, could be slightly stronger but not much more, Lloris, Aurier, Dembele and Alli.
I can tell there’s a lot of VS interest in this game. Does North London still exist?
Toby, Verts, Sanchez now inter-changeable so difficult to see that muchc difference, Toby at a stretch but Sanchez is proving immense especially in first season.
Let’s just hope the upset is not us – 1st in the bag for the semi’s – lovely jubbly.
