‘They’ve seen him play then’: Lots of Tottenham fans shared the same opinion regarding ‘unrealistic’ demands for int’l

It would seem Tottenham Hotspur are no closer to offloading Kieran Trippier this summer.

The right-back is thought to be one of a number of men that Spurs will look to offload this summer in order to provide Mauricio Pochettino with the funds to bring in some quality players.

He did not have the best of campaigns last season and admitted to Sky Sports that he knew he was far from his best this time around and accepted his omission from the national side for their Nations League finals week.

Juventus and Napoli are thought to have been two sides interested in taking Trippier away from north London, however, it appears a bump in the road may have been hit regarding any potential transfer for the 28-year-old.

According to Calciomercato (via Daily Hotspur’s Twitter account), Juventus are thought to find Spurs’ valuation of the England international between €30million and €40million (£26.8m and £35.8m) unrealistic.

And, it would seem a number of Tottenham’s fans share the same opinion as they do not believe Trippier is worth that amount of money either.

Plenty of fans revealed that they felt it was unrealistic for Spurs to ask for that amount of money after the campaign he just had, with others claiming they were ‘not surprised’ by Juventus’ alleged hesitation.

One supporter remarked ‘they’ve seen him play then’, suggesting that he also felt the valuation was not a true reflection of Trippier’s quality.

Here are just some of their reactions to the news…
