With the news coming out yesterday of a potential six odd week lay off for Tottenham Hotspur and England striker Harry Kane as he picked up ankle ligament damage in the last match against Manchester United, plenty of discussion has surrounded a replacement in the games he will miss.
It seems most likely that manager Mauricio Pochettino will rejig our lineup, at least to begin with, as few fans expect a speedy development in the January transfer window, but Liam Rosenior (and he’s not alone) has suggested that we should make a move for Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson.
Should Tottenham look to sign Callum Wilson after Harry Kane's injury?

Wilson has been somewhat heavily linked with Chelsea this window and figures being thrown about are in the £75million region.
Following his reported £3million arrival at Bournemouth, he’s made 115 starts and 23 substitute showings since 2014, knocking in 53 goals and the 26-year-old has been earning plaudits for his performances in the Premier League.
This season, having received an England call in recognition, he has eleven goals in 24 games in total.
Plenty questioned the suggestion, in terms of game time when Harry comes back to fitness, but others felt it would give Pochettino other options up front and wouldn’t be an issue.
Yes.. tried and tested and could ensure top 4 and champs league.. need firepower in short term and could be good alongside Kane in future.

He can play just off the striker can’t he almost a Martial or Alli role. Surely long term also this is a decent idea

Like them both tbh but Wilson would get lots of game time at spurs. I just don’t see levy spending £50m on 1 player

Kane has 8 goals in the last 2 season's with his head , Wilson has 4 …

Yes. But will we? No

75 mil though no chance

Given the prices talked about I’d be amazed but looking at a replacement striker who was actually more than a replacement and gives us more options on a formation front in the future I don’t see as being a bad thing – not least helping to take the pressure off Kane.
