There Will Be Those That Think Some Are Trying To Distract Spurs – Journalist Claims Poch Has Agreed Terms With Juventus

|

Italian journalist Nicolo Schira has put themselves out on a ledge this week and claimed that Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has already agreed to become Massimiliano Allegri’s replacement at Juventus.

For those who want to check themselves – the Twitter feed can be found by Clicking Here.

The Tweets of interest translate as.

“Contacts continue on the Turin-Milan-London axis for Mauricio #Pochettino: The Argentinian has given its willingness to the #Juventus that through intermediaries is trying to understand if you can find an agreement with the #Tottenham on the technical clause. #calciomercato #THFC”

“All ahead for Mauricio #Pochettino alla #Juventus: Positive the summit yesterday with the two brokers who are taking care of the contacts with the #Tottenham. Meanwhile #Paratici, he cashed the Argentinian yes. You work on the contract: possible four-year. #calciomercato #THFC”

“The presence of Fabio #Paratici in London is not at all accidental: First direct contact with Levy and the #Tottenham to try to free Mauricio #Pochettino. The wall #Spurs can fall, in fact, buying a player, as a compensation for the Argentine technician. #calciomercato”

With the claim being that personal terms have effectively been agreed on a four year deal, all that remains now is to strike a compensation deal with Tottenham directly and whilst we can all debate tapping up, let’s face it we all know it goes on.

With Poch to hold his Champions League Final press conference next week, given it is such a bold and direct claim it’ll be interesting to see how he answers those questions, but even allowing the reliability of journalism when it comes to football and the nonsense spouted, I can only, sadly, assume Schira feels on solid ground saying this otherwise they are going to look utterly ridiculous down the line.

Then again, the fact it’s believed that Poch has no representation, maybe the ground isn’t quite so solid and they’ve just set themselves up for a massive fall. Wouldn’t be the first time in the industry after all and it is the season for it.

This does, of course, follow on from the utterly bizarre claims earlier in the week that Pochettino would be asking Daniel Levy to let him go for free and the other journalist claims about Eriksen signing for Real Madrid as well.

On reflection, I think I’m back in the going nowhere camp and I’m not so sure why I dabbled with it for a minute!

There will be those that think some are trying to distract us but thoughts we’re mixed on the Vital Spurs Forum and on social media, but we all know the safest way to approach any speculation – especially during a transfer window – is to consider it all BS until officially confirmed.
