Micky Adams wants to extend the loan signing of Spurs keeper Marton Fulop beyond the end of the season. The Coventry manager said: ‘Whether we can do anything with Marton next season is for a later discussion. Certainly he is one who we feel is going to be a very, very good goalkeeper in the future – but I think Spurs will know that as well because they have had a scout here at every game he has played.’

Our poll last week asked about the contract situation related to Ledley King. A massive majority of 83% said the England international defender should be kept at all costs. 11% thought he should be kept but only if the wages are reasonable, 1% said he should be kept until his contract runs out and just 5% thought he should be sold to Chelsea for the rumoured £17million. That 5% were probably Chelsea fans!

Edgar Davids said after the Wigan draw: ‘Once again we have missed a chance to move away from Arsenal, who are fifth. We are lucky the Gunners aren`t playing well recently, will we ever learn that`s not the way to perform if we want to hold on to our Champions League dream?’

Ledley King said that Spurs hadn’t been at their best v Wigan and that the Latics had ‘done their homework’ adding ‘We’ve still got to look at the positives,we’re still in a good position with 11 games left. We have to look towards the next game

Davids has also said that the team have to keep a higher level of concentration, our latest poll is asking whether our Champions league dream is slipping away, at the moment 16% say yes, 12% that we will pip Arsenal and 72% agreeing with Davids saying we need to start fighting.

England under 21 manager Peter Taylor has picked Tottenham midfielders Tom Huddlestone and Aaron Lennon in his squad for next Tuesday`s international with Norway at The Madejski Stadium. Also in the squad is winger Wayne Routledge who is currently on loan at Portsmouth.

Tottenham`s home fixture with Manchester United has been deemed attractive enough by Sky TV for live coverage. The game will be played on Easter Monday, which is April 17, and will kick off at 12.45pm

Martin Jol has confirmed that Egypt international striker Mido wants to stay at Tottenham saying: ‘He wants to stay with us and tells me everyday he loves Spurs. I think it will be resolved before the end of the season.’

Aaron Lennon has been linked to a £5million summer move to Manchester United with reports suggesting he is homesick.

Stephen Kelly has been named in the Republic of Ireland national team squad for the friendly v Sweden next week. He said ‘I was delighted, I got a call from my girlfriend to say she had seen on TV that I was in the squad – it was like a dream come true.’

Danny Murphy on his arrival at Spurs and the reception he got. ‘It has surpassed all expectations and I really feel like I’ve got a spring in my step again. I was desperate to get out there – I hadn’t played a game for six or seven weeks – and get some minutes under my belt.’ He also says it will take him a few games to fit in and get used to the rest of the team.
