Heung-min Son’s moment of magic against Burnley will surely be a candidate for goal of the season in the Premier League, yet nobody has been giving credit to the true architect of the moment, Jan Vertonghen, until now.

The Belgian defender was the one who passed the ball to the Tottenham no. 7 before embarking on a run that spanned from Tottenham’s penalty box to Burnley’s, and Spurs’ official Twitter account have finally given Vertonghen the props he deserves with a hilarious over-the-top video of his assist.
Is Heung-Min Son our best player?
Yes
No
Son’s goal will go down as one of the highlights of the season, and lots of Tottenham fans on social media were in bits over the club’s dramatic clip of Vertonghen’s assist, a moment in which the former Ajax star likely didn’t expect the South Korean international to run all the way down the pitch and score.
Here’s what Tottenham fans had to say about Vertonghen’s assist, with lots of supporters loving the effort the club’s social team put into the oddly funny video…
LOOOOOOL We’ve invested fortunes into a new and improved media team. The future is bright

Not getting nearly enough credit: Jan laid it on a plate for Sonny, who just had to run past 13 Burnley players and beat the keeper.
