I was fortunate enough to be watching the Capital One cup semi final last night with my mate a Bradford fan.

As he sat there after the final whistle in watery eyed disbelief the beauty of cup competitions could not have been clearer.

Bradford City, a team in the fourth tier of the football league, are in a major cup final. How it happened is unbelievable. Bradford beat three Premiership teams on their way to Wembley. Better yet, one of them was Arsenal.

How much better could it get? And, having seen both legs of the semi, and the quarter against the goons, you couldn’t say they didn’t deserve it.

I know this is not a Spurs article. I am not just a Spurs fan, I am a football fan. As a football fan moments like this are why we follow the game, and we should unite and rejoice in them when they happen.

So let’s all unite and say a massive congratulations to Bradford City and thank you for one of the most fantastic, unbelievable and magical cup adventures of all time!
