That’s The Spurs We Know, Positives & We Move On – Match Stats

|

After a disappointing loss and performance in the Manchester United clash, Tottenham Hotspur welcomed Sean Dyche’s Burnley side to White Hart Lane for Saturday’s Premier League encounter.

With plenty of questions about attitude following Jose Mourinho’s first defeat following his arrival at the club, Spurs fans will feel after that performance and the 5-0 victory that we took, whatever was said behind closed doors, worked perfectly.

Harry Kane gave us the advantage four minutes into the game, and our lead was doubled five minutes later as Lucas Moura found the back of the net. Son Heung-Min made it 3-0 going into the half time break (32 min) and the visitors had little answer – although they did hit the woodwork with one of their efforts.

Second half we continued our control and Kane grabbed his brace in the 54th minute and we saw another goal from Moussa Sissoko in the 74th to more than ensure the win. The only surprising statistics from the day in some ways was Burnley edged possession, yet managed to do so little with it.

Sonny’s effort will certainly take the headlines after that though, but the clean sheet was certainly welcomed.
