Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting to the news that Mauricio Pochettino is open to selling Eric Dier this summer on Twitter and it would seem many are favourable to the idea of that happening.
According to a report by the Daily Express, the Spurs boss is willing to let the versatile midfielder go if the right offer comes in for him as he looks to restructure his midfield.
Just days ago, Football.London were reporting that Dier could be asked to play in defence next season should Toby Alderweireld decide to leave and the club fails to find and acquire a replacement for him in time.
The 25-year-old is thought to prefer to playing in the centre of midfield rather than at the back (Telegraph), however, if the likes of Tanguy Ndombele, Bruno Fernandes and Giovani Lo Celso were all to arrive (as they have all been linked with switches to us this summer), then he could find it extremely difficult for minutes on the pitch.
But, it would seem that many of the Tottenham faithful on Twitter would not care too much if the Pochettino-favourite was no longer in the side – or even at the club for that matter.
A number of them took to Twitter following Hotspur Related’s tweet of the news to share their views on the report and it would seem plenty of them would be more than happy to see him depart should an offer be received.
One fan simply said he ‘wasn’t good enough’, whilst another stated ‘thanks for the memories, see ya!’.
Here are just some of the reactions these Tottenham fans left regarding the news…

I think we need to sell dier and trippier. They are not good enough. If we want to win trophies we need better quality.

He peaked and flopped. He needs to go, we need to use the CL final as a springboard to bring in the biggest players possible. Eriksen got to go too. He will end up doing an Adebayor if we don’t get rid of him.
