Teams: Brentford vs Spurs

Team news from the Gtech Community Stadium has just come in for this afternoon’s Premier League encounter between Brentford and Spurs, with the match commencing in just under an hour (kick-0ff 12.30 PM BST).

Brentford have only made one change from the side that beat Manchester City 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium in the middle of November in their last league match, with key midfielder Christian Norgaard returning from injury to replace Fank Onyeka, who was impressive at the Etihad so may deem himself unlucky to miss out on a starting berth here.

The Bees’ leading goalscorer Ivan Toney also starts up top alongside Bryan Mbuemo, despite the looming shadow of beating charges being levelled against him by the FA.

Interesting news from Spurs’ end sees Japhet Tanganga make his first appearance of the season by starting in place of Davinson Sanchez, with Cristian Romero ruled out due to his involvement in last weekend’s World Cup final.

The same applies for Hugo Lloris, who is benched at the expense of Fraser Forster, who makes his Premier League debut for Spurs.

However, there is room in the starting XI for Eric Dier, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Heung-min Son, Ivan Perisic, and Harry Kane, all of whom have recently returned from the World Cup. Matt Doherty also comes in for Emerson Royal, with Dejan Kulusevski making his first start since August to the right of Kane and Son.
