It seems like an eternity ago when Tottenham were dominating teams at White Hart Lane, and even longer when Eric Dier seemingly put in a good performance.

The 25-year-old midfielder has found himself out of the Spurs first-team over the past 12 months, with Dier starting just one Premier League game this season in the form of Tottenham’s 3-0 defeat as stats from Transfermarkt show, yet the England international’s form never used to be this bad.

Ahead of Tottenham’s Premier League clash with Watford, the club’s official Twitter account reposted a goal the former Sporting Lisbon man scored against the Hornets at the Lane in a 4-0 win for the north London club back in the 2016/17 season, with supporters on social media feeling nostalgic over the goal and pondering what happened to that team as well as Dier.
