Substitution Leads To Freshen Concerns For These Spurs Fans

|

The topic of Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is never far from the back pages these days with everyone and their dog having an opinion on his freshness, fatigue level and whether or not he’s burnt out and needs an extended break.

Some discuss the World Cup, some discuss the last few years, others focus on the fact he broke his August duck, and Ian Wright was also speaking about how, with a new child in the house, that could be the issue a few days back.

Whatever the relative truth here, he was far from our worst player against Inter Milan last night, but he was poor by his own high standards once again and some fans focused in on him with frustration and anger in the air at the way we threw the game away.

Not exactly over the top criticism, and more an understanding and consensus that we need to take him out the firing line for a bit and he’s definitely not taking the flak some are on social media.

But with early season optimism, it seems like it’s now one thing after another and even Mauricio Pochettino seems to be losing his cool – we need to find a line and draw it.

Even the above selection of comments show how different people saw Kane’s own performance differently and plenty felt he was better on the night despite not registering a shot on target.
