  • Stats don’t look too bad do they? Mind you there’s always room for improvement. Well done lads – great bounce-back from the disappointing Europe League exit. COYS.

  • Harry K: Now PL joint top scorer with 17 goals and having played a lot less minutes than the others alongside him. Dele Alli: On double figures, with 12 PL goals (1 more than Aguero) and 7th top PL scorer overall. Eriksen: Top in the PL assists table with 10. – THFC: 2nd place in the PL. W15 D8 L3. Goals for 50 and the least goals against, 18. GD 32. – I badly wanted to really moan about something after thrashing Stoke City 4-0 with such consummate ease but I thought that would be somewhat amiss of me and rather petty. (I’m sure I’ll think of something bad/depressing to say, at the very least, by tomorrow). Sorry!

  • Ghana – this is the same Eriksen who scored the opening goal against Gent last Thursday right? By finishing perfectly in a closed angle? I just want to double check.

  • Do assists only count if you play for another team? – Is it not commendable that CE is top of the table with them? I mentioned Eriksens assists because once again I feel his input for Spurs is often overlooked and underrated by many supporters. He is a regular in our team and it’s him and his football, along with the rest of them, that has us sitting in 2nd place in the PL. I was down about him when I thought he was not playing so well here and there but his overall performances this season have been pretty good and no doubt influential……. If you are part of the set-up that creates a goal, then it doesn’t matter if it’s done from a piece of sublime magic or a simple side-footed pass to the scorer. It’s all still part of the game and it all counts in the end. Mostly in football it’s doing the simple stuff well that matters and so often crucial. “Magic” is then what sometimes makes it special.

  • Magic and simplicity combined?…Like Harry’s fantastic finish from Christians carefully placed but simple yet effective corner….. 😉
