Tottenham Hotspur welcomed Chelsea to Wembley Stadium for Saturday’s evening Premier League kickoff.
With the November international break now out of the way, the fixture list hots up as we head towards the festive crush of games, but it didn’t take Spurs too long (eight minutes to be exact) to get into their grove as Dele Alli opened the scoring with his fifth goal in five matches against the Stamford Bridge outfit.
Chelsea came into the game unbeaten in the campaign of 2018/19 and that went out the window as Harry Kane made it two in the 16th minute and within ten minutes of the halftime restart, Son Heung-Min had tripled our advantage.
Maurizio Sarri’s side did get on the scoresheet with five minutes remaining in the match to see the game end 3-1, but it was largely comfortable and we outplayed them with the performance being what we more expect under Mauricio Pochettino.
We also leapfrog them into third place in the Premier League, only five points shy of Manchester City so a good weekend!
