Earlier this evening Tottenham Hotspur welcomed Inter Milan to Wembley Stadium for our latest Group B Champions League clash.
With a disappointing start to our European adventures so far in the season of 2018/19, Spurs went into the game in third place in the group three points behind the visitors and we were looking for a small amount of revenge given the way the away tie turned against us.
Spurs did edge the statistics of the game but it was always going to be a tight clash and it proved to be.
With no breakthrough in the opening 45 minutes, second half substitute Christian Eriksen broke the deadlock with ten minutes remaining in the affair and we kept the clean sheet to take the 1-0 victory and draw ourselves level on points in Group B with the visitors.
Qualification hopes are now definitely alive and we have to ensure they stay that way as we head to Barcelona for the next one.
