  • Dele scored two v Real back in November at Wembley… In another 3-1 win. That brace, somehow, didn’t silence his critics. I hope this one does…

  • Hot Tottingham – Its not the critics Dele is worried about, its Jesse Lingard. He’s now behind he United player in the race for an England place at the world cup and he doesn’t have much time to catch up.

  • Its very good for Dele and England (Spurs too) that he has competition from Lingard. I really like young Jesse. He’s a fine player. … But, I don’t think Dele showed any real worries yesterday. And I don’t think I’ve seen Jesse score a goal quite as sublime as Dele’s 1st one v Chelsea. And, I’d say that it is Jesse that has caught up a bit with Dele, not the other way around.

  • In his favour, Dele has an excellent understanding and partnership with Kane. He also has a big match temperament. I think, come the world Cup, he’ll start ahead of Lingard.

  • And, as you rightly pointed out on the other thread Gary when mentioning Diers great vision and pass for that Alli goal. There is also an understanding between them two as well as with Harry. Eric will see those Dele runs, time and time again.

  • My apologies to Block D Spurs as it was him and not you Gary that pointed out on the match thread Diers great ball to Dele… But I’m sure you noticed it too.

  • Just a note boys, I have given an answer to a Chelsea fan who has made a silly remark about open top bus, dvd?s And other rubbish following yesterday?s win. Idiot!!

  • I remember John Terry saying two years ago when Chelsea came from 2-0 down to draw with us saying ?Not on my watch will we lose to Spurs? after that game. So perhaps it?s his fault they lost yesterday!!

  • Dele has played 100 PL matches for Spurs. And to put his past 3 Spurs seasons into perspective and up against other great English talents of the last generation of England attacking midfielders: He has scored more, and has a greater amount of assists than all of Beckham, Scholes, Gerrard and Lampard did in their first 100 matches. Way more than both Lampard and Gerrard… Not bad for one with such a poor attitude, and who is still just 21…

  • Dele has the joint 4th highest amount of PL assists this season. He is behind 3 City players, no less. That is 6 less than De Bruyne but only 2 less than David Silva and Leroy Sane and, it’s 1 more than our very own Christian Eriksen. He also has the same amount of PL goals as Christian does, 9.

So, not only is it not that bad for a guy so young and with a supposedly ‘poor attitude’ but its pretty good considering he has apparently had a poor season… And when put alongside Eriksen (who has had a very good season by all accounts), Dele’s overall contribution to the team can be seen as on a par with the great Dane himself… Woof, woof, bow wow!
