Spurs’s Pursuit Of Ivorian Winger Could Be Scuppered By New Contract Offer

|

Crystal Palace will offer Wilfried Zaha £120,000 a week to stay at Selhurst Park, according to the Mirror journalist Adrian Kajumba.

The Eagles believe the new deal will prevent us from signing the Ivorian international this summer.  They gave the winger a new five-year contract, worth £100k a week, only last May but are prepared to go further in their quest to keep him.

We are reportedly not prepared to offer wages close to Palace’s new proposal and that could mean we’ll be forced to look at other options.

Although Zaha has been regularly linked with us over the past year, there has been no indication that we have made an offer for the 25-year-old this summer.

Anthony Martial is reportedly the club’s main target as we look to strengthen the front three, although the Frenchman’s is believed to be valued at £75m by Manchester United, which may stop us from making a move for the forward.
