Spurs Youngster Set For German Adventure

|

It was being reported yesterday evening that Tottenham Hotspur youngster Georges-Kevin N’Koudou could shortly complete a loan move out to German Bundesliga side Mainz.

Sky Sports reported that although it was a loan spell, not dictated by the closure of the permanent window in England, the loan was by design but talks were already being held about the potential for a permanent move further down the line.

The 23-year-old is said to be assessing his options and waiting on further information about the potential for a buy clause before finally making his mind up, but time is not an issue here as there’s plenty of time left in the transfer window to get the deal over the line.

I think most fans would be on board with this, he hasn’t really overly impressed following his big-money arrival from Marseille, and he didn’t set the world alight during his loan spell with Burnley last season so if we can recoup some money, we at least bolster the kitty for Mauricio Pochettino come January and we just have to accept some transfers don’t work out and unfortunately this is another expensive one that didn’t.
