We are reportedly keen on signing Liverpool starlet Rhian Brewster, according to the Mirror. The Under-17 World Cup Golden Boot winner has yet to sign a professional deal with the Reds and could leave Anfield in the summer.
Manchester City, as well as a number of German clubs, are also interested in the 18-year-old. Borussia Monchengladbach are believed to be favourites to sign the forward at the moment.
Daily Telegraph journalist Sam Wallace is reporting that the England youth international is “almost certain” to join Gladbach although Liverpool believe the player has been approached illegally.
Brewster remains on a scholarship programme with the Champions League finalists, and other teams cannot directly approach the player without asking permission from his club first.
It is believed the Bundesliga club have held discussions with the striker, which has led to his reported decision to leave his current club. Whether the transfer goes ahead, we’ll have to wait and see.
