Spurs to wear special shirts after announcing support for ISF Cambodia

|

While the higher-ups at Spurs have come under heavy criticism particularly in the last few weeks after the European Super League saga, but shirts sponsors AIA have proven that the corporate side of the club can receive good press today as the club and the insurance company announced their support for ISF Cambodia.

The club are supporting AIA’s long term mission in promoting health and wellness across the Asia-Pacific region, and so ISF Cambodia’s logo will replace the regulars shirt sponsors’ logo on the front of the team’s shirts for the match against Sheffield United on Sunday, and there will also be pitch-side advertising to raise awareness.

The match-worn shirts will also be auctioned and donated to the ISF as well as the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation.

“We have seen the positive impact of the Indochina Starfish Foundation in Phnom Penh first-hand and are pleased to be supporting such a worthwhile cause to help raise its profile and valuable funds, alongside our partners at AIA,” said Donna-Maria Cullen, who is the Executive Director at Tottenham Hotspur.

“The ISF is one of a number of good causes we have supported alongside AIA as we continue to work together to promote health and wellness across the Asia-Pacific region, where we have a significant fanbase.”

The ISF aim to educate thousands of children in Cambodia, a country where almost half of children grow up in poverty – and so the charity also provides valuable healthcare and resources to combat disease.

“Education has the power to transform the lives of young people, and so AIA is proud to have partnered with ISF since 2017 in line with our purpose of helping millions of people across Asia live Healthier, Longer, Better Lives,” said Stuart A. Spencer, the Group Chief Marketing Officer of AIA.

“ISF helps to bring education to those who would otherwise not have the opportunity and they use football to encourage friendship and fun amongst underprivileged children in Cambodia.

“We are delighted to be able to offer ISF the global exposure that comes through our partnership with Tottenham Hotspur and we hope a broader audience will be able to recognise and support ISF in the future.”

The campaign is a very important one on the global scheme of things, and it’s great to see that the club are already attempting to repair their reputation as a charitable club who have other peoples concerns in mind, even if there is still a long way to go if they are to remain in control of Tottenham.
