Tottenham Hotspur were the hosts to Leicester City in today’s early Premier League kickoff.
Spurs were worthy winners on the day with Davinson Sanchez opening the scoring just after the half hour mark of the opening 45 minutes, and we doubled our advantage after the break with Christian Eriksen getting a second.
Leicester did mount a comeback as the game drew to a close and Jamie Vardy got them a goal back, but Son Heung-Min secured all three points as he scored in stoppage-time to ensure the win.
Spurs remain in third place following the match but we do cut the gap to Liverpool (and Manchester City who look likely to end the day in top spot having played one extra game) to only five points now.
Four wins on the spin for manager Mauricio Pochettino’s side and we more than remain in the mix despite the injury issues we have sustained in recent times.
Can’t ask for more than that really.
