Tottenham Hotspur welcomed Wolverhampton Wanderers to Wembley Stadium for the final game of the 2018 section of the Premier League season.
Form and recent results suggested there was every reason to be confident going into this one, as Spurs are also unbeaten in the last 39 matches against newly promoted sides.
Our confidence was boosted as Harry Kane found the back of the net to open the scoring in the 22nd minute but we couldn’t double our advantage and the visitors grew into the game, putting more pressure on and second half especially that was too much for us to cope with and they wore us down.
Levelling scores in the 72nd minute, they added a second and third in the final ten minutes of the tie to secure all points and send us to defeat.
We all knew there would be a hiccup or two but there’s plenty of football left to play, so we just have to get back on the proverbial horse quickly.
